My wife and I have had the absolute pleasure of knowing Victor Robert Farrell for almost four years.

A little bit about who we are. I am an attorney and have practiced personal injury defense for twenty-eight years. My wife is a litigation paralegal. We are in our early fifties. I am originally from New York and my wife is a Kentuckian. We hope to shortly sell our Florida home and move to our second home in Georgia where we plan to work with friends to plant a church. Pastor Robert and Bridget are standing in prayer with us that the Lord will soon send us a buyer so that we can leave Florida.

We came to know Pastor Robert when he was a visiting Pastor at the Church of Hollywood. Our first impression of Pastor Robert was that he was a gifted, loving and spiritual leader. Our first impression proved to be correct. In addition, Pastor Robert and his wife, Bridget, have come to be among our dearest and closest friends. We cherish each moment we spend with them.

When we learned that our pastor at the Church of Hollywood was resigning and moving away, we immediately contacted the Senior Pastor and recommended Pastor Robert for the job. The church did, in fact, hire Pastor Robert but rather than place him in our pastor’s position, he was sent to the central campus of the Church of Pembroke Pines. We stayed in contact, of course, and got together socially.

We were disenchanted after our Pastor left the Church of Hollywood. We had no Pastor as an anchor. They sent rotating pastors from the mother church. So, when Robert shared his heart that he wanted to start a house church, with the Church of Hollywood’s blessing, a small group of us joined Pastor Robert in that church planting effort. It was a marvelous time. The fellowship warmed the hearts of those who came. When prayer was needed we all prayed and prayers were answered. The teachings were logical, applicable, down to earth and often amusing.

We were saddened when he was called to return to Kentucky and minister there. We have continued to support Pastor Robert and Bridget with our tithes because we sincerely believe in the work that they are doing. We are especially pleased with the success of the New Life Center!

My wife and I recommend, without the least hesitation, that Pastor Robert be selected to fill the position. You will never find a pastor who cares about and strives to meet the needs of his flock as Pastor Robert does. His teaching style is captivating, learned and perceptive. He loves the Lord more than anything and it is evident in all that he does. That is also evident in his teachings and his writings which we continue to enjoy via Whispering Word.

2010- Update -  “Robert Farrell is the best Pastor we have ever heard preach, hands down. In the years we have known him, we have learned so much. His daily devotional, Whispering Word touches us and provokes us to walk closer with the Lord. His sermons encourage individual study of God’s word and deep discussion with others. Beyond that, Robert has become a dear friend. He may be across the pond in England, but we cherish his friendship above all and thank God for him.” June 22, 2010
